Perkins collects third NE10 Player of the Week honor of season

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Junior Jess Perkins of the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, as announced on Tuesday.

Perkins, who previously received the accolade on Sept. 19 and Oct. 10, defeated CCC Player of the Year Amarie Settiwongse 6-0, 6-0 in Saint Anselm's first match of the spring on Sunday at Nichols. It marked the ninth time this season that Perkins did not drop a game atop the singles lineup for the Hawks.

The win improved Perkins to 17-3 on the season and 44-8 in her career on the Hilltop. She is now a five-time NE10 Player of the Week over the course of her three seasons at Saint Anselm.

The Hawks travel to Regis (Mass.) for a 2 p.m. match on Saturday, April 22.
