MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College Sports Medicine department is proud to announce the hiring of T.J. O'Connor to its staff. O'Connor returns to the Hilltop after working as the graduate assistant athletic trainer at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo.
"I would like to thank Director of Athletics Daron Montgomery, Associate Athletic Director Neil Duval and Head Athletic Trainer Michael Sirois for bringing me back to Saint Anselm, where I completed two internships as an undergraduate student at Colby-Sawyer College," said O'Connor. "I am excited to be back at Saint Anselm College working side by side with an incredible Sports Medicine team in Mike, Danny and Alyssa. I also look forward to working with the student-athletes and coaches here at the Hilltop to help them succeed in their respective sports."
O'Connor earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. before heading out to William Woods for the past two years and earning his master's degree in business administration.
While attending Colby-Sawyer, he completed clinical experiences with the Chargers, Saint Anselm and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and was also a four-year member of the Colby-Sawyer baseball team. O'Connor was named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team twice, starting 75 games behind the dish for the Chargers during his four seasons.
"We are very excited to have T.J. back on the Hilltop," added head athletic trainer Michael Sirois. "As a student intern working with our staff, he showed that he has the drive and passion to work in the sports medicine field and will work towards our common mission/goal to care for and help our student-athletes. I look forward to working with him as the Hawks Soar Higher."
